debatetournament.org is an online platform for running competitive debating tournaments end to end. Sign in with Discord, enrol your teams, and the tab room gets everything it needs in one place: team and adjudicator registration, a draw generator with conflict management, motions, results and ballots, speaker and team standings, feedback scoring, break generation, and a public record of every published draw, result and break. Debate rooms are provisioned directly in Discord voice channels, our recorder integration can film and archive your rounds, and payments and entry fees are handled on the platform. Tab rooms keep full control of what is published and when; participants and visitors see exactly what a paper tournament would publish, and nothing more.
We built this because debating deserves better tools. Everything here — from the private adjudicator ballot links to the cross-tournament public leaderboard — exists so that a tab room can run a professional tournament without a spreadsheet in sight, and so that a debater can find their room, their motion, their result and their feedback without chasing a WhatsApp group. The platform is used by tournaments across Spanish- and English-speaking circuits, and it is built and maintained by people who spend their weekends in the back of a round, judging.

Mattias Durán Santis
Co-founder
Mattias is a Chilean litigation lawyer and one of the most decorated debaters in the Spanish- and English-speaking circuits. He is a World Debating Champion and Best Speaker of the World (CMUDE 2024), and was named Best EFL Speaker at WUDC 2026. With over 15 years in debate as a competitor, judge, adjudicator and coach, he brings to this project the rigor of courtroom advocacy and the strategic depth of elite-level argumentation.
